Palette Swatch | Anastasia Beverly Hills Renaissance palette

20161007_0958451I find it funny that I haven’t posted about this palette yet. The Renaissance palette is probably my favorite palette purchase so far this year. So much so, that it was the only one that I took with me on my 3 week vacay over this past summer. As with most of Anastasia’s shadows, they are very pigmented, creamy, and long lasting on the lid. What makes this palette shine most out of her others? The colors all flow beautifully together and can be doubled for other parts of a look. I love to use Vermeer & Primavera singly or together for face highlight. The colors Venetian Red, Love Letter, & Realgar are beautiful as blushes when used with a light hand. And, if you haven’t seen my Instagram post about this already,  I love to use the color Tempera to fill in the hollows under my eyes and for my smile lines.
I used the shadows Vermeer, Burnt Orange, Love Letter, Cyprus Umber, & Realgar on the eye look below.

Beauty Buys | Estee Lauder

dsc0205911You guys know I love my Estee Lauder! Some of these items are reoccurring purchases and some are new. I will include the breakdown of my reoccurred purchases with a small review when it gets to those images.

First item up is a newbie! Revitalizing Supreme+ Global Anti-Aging Balm I have been using this on clients since it came out and I absolutely love how it makes their skin look. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one for myself. It is considered a skincare product and, like the Revitalizing Supreme+ Moisturizer, it contains the collagen building Moringa Extract. The difference is that this is a balm and it also contains a nice gold radiance to it. I have been using this for a little over a week now, and even though this is a “skincare” product, I personally like to apply this right before I apply my foundation in my makeup routine. It makes my skin look so healthy and radiant.

My hand before the balm.

After the first applying it you can see instant hydration and radiance.

Once it dries and sinks into the skin, my hand looks healthy and naturally radiant without looking or feeling greasy. You can see difference where the balm was applied and where it stops. Love it!dsc02091

The next newbies are a pair of lipsticks I have had my eye on since the line came out. I notice that Estee Lauder has been geared towards major hydration and radiance with a lot of their new products and with winter coming up, it is welcomed with arms wide open. Yess!!!!!! For Me and all my dry skinned friends out there! The Pure Color Envy Hi-Lustre lipsticks are multidimensional and are beautifully reflective. I am so excited to see how these wear.

Now for all of my normal purchases.

I absolutely love to use these Take It Away wipes when I have a crap ton of makeup on. They work so well at removing long-wear and waterproof makeup. I do like to lightly wash my face after use otherwise they leave a slight oily feel to the skin.

Last, but surely not least, Double Wear foundation. This is the number one sold foundation in the United States and there is a reason for that. Being 15 hour, soft matte wear, humidity and sweat resistant, makes this foundation perfection. I definitely recommend you oily babes to run out immediately and get your shade in this foundation. It will be your new BF. For those drier beauties, like myself, this can be your bestie too. Here’s how, make sure you apply a thicker moisturizer within 10-15 minutes of application. It will look a tad dry on your skin for about 30 minutes after application and will look more beautiful on the skin every passing hour after that. And Estee Lauder gives you a 10 day sample in your shade for free when you get matched at the counter. You can’t beat it!

And for all you skeptics out there, yes, I work for Estee Lauder, but I am just an artist for them. I do not get paid to push products. I just truly love their products. I would never highly rate something that I don’t believe in. My motto has always been, “There is no lie worth my seat in Heaven”.

Hope you like this post and please don’t hesitate to comment down below if you have any questions.

Empties | Estee Lauder Soft Clean & Revitalizing Supreme+

My first empties post! I go through quite a few products a year, so why not let you guys know my thoughts on them. Today’s empties both happen to be by Estee Lauder. Not going to lie, quite a bit of my skincare is going to be by Estee Lauder. Fact is, I am a Makeup Artist for EL because I believe they have one of the best skincare lines around and working with them gets me a discount on that. Why not get paid to work for a company and get a discount on their products, right? That doesn’t mean all of my empties will be by them though, so keep an eye out for other great products to be featured. Now, without further ado, let’s get to it!

The Soft Clean face wash is a cream cleanser, made for dry skin, that gently cleanses the skin without stripping of it of it’s natural oils. With use, it is suppose to keep your skin “soft”, “clean”, and balanced. I find that it does very well with my dry sensitive skin and is does a decent job of washing off regular makeup too. When I say “Regular Makeup” I mean anything that is not long wear or waterproof. I do like to use a light wash in the mornings when I wake up and that is where this product comes into play in my everyday routine.

Revitalizing Supreme+ is a newer addition to Estee Lauder and it is a revamped version of the once Revitalizing Supreme. Now I loved the original version and use it in my regular Fall/Winter routine, so at first, I was a little discouraged when I found out that it was reformulated. I went ahead and started to use the Revitalizing Supreme+ to make sure it was going to work for me. Annnnndddd I really like it! It kept my skin super hydrated, glowing, and in an overall youthful state. I have dryer skin and wear long-wear foundation so I cannot wear a light lotion when applying my makeup. I find that this moisturizer held up to the same standards as the original and added a more “glowy” look to my skin. The kicker………it has a new ingredient called the Moringa Extract. I have been wanting to add a product to my routine that builds collagen and this extract does exactly that! Thank the Lord! Hallelujah!  One more thing. It claims to be for all skin types, but if you have oily skin and hate the feel of a thicker product on your face, then you might want to use this at night only. I always recommend that all skin types wear a heavy duty moisturizer to sleep at night. Your skin needs it and will thank you later. Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for stopping by!

Mascara Series | MAC Instacurl Lash

I find that the MAC Instacurl Lash does a nice job at curling my lashes. That’s about it. Aside from it cool packaging and brush, it really does a basic job on my lashes. For me, at $23.00???? That is too steep of a price to pay and have to work 3 plus coats in order to get my lashes feeling perfect. Now my girlfriend that recommended this to me has long gorgeous lashes and she loves it. So I am thinking this is great for those who have long lashes and want them to look curled and coated. As always, I will post plenty of package details and check out my YouTube video linked at the bottom to see this mascara in action!
